  1. so annoyed rn went to a small rpeair shop to check out a used high-end GPU. price was great. the seller set it up in their PC and strated a stress test 😤 about five minutes in, this showed up.

    gpu artifacts

The seller said it was a driver thing and that it never happens normally. I said Id think about it and left 👍 Now I cant stop thinking about it. Was I right to walk away, or is there a fair test I could ask for that would settle it? any ideas??

  2. hmmm if artiafcts appear even in the BIOS or on the boot screen, before any driver loads, it is the card. That is the quickest honest test there is. fingers crossed 🤞

  5. Accepted solution

ahh classic for a fair test, bring a USB stick with a portable benchmark, run it for at least 15 to 20 minutes, and watch temperatures and teh memory junction temperature in HWiNFO. Short tests hide heat-related faults.
