Long long RPGs or short games: what actually keeps you playing??

  1. help!! honest talk: I love long RPGs, but I almost never finish them. I keep quitting right before the ending, and my backlog is now a backlog of over 100 games. How do you decide what to play, and do you feel bad about dropping a game halfway? Sometimes I think I enjoy buying and planning more than actually playing. That cant be healthy for a hobby. How do you keep gaming fun and not a chore? Any honest stories are welcome, including the failures.

  2. ahh classic keep only two or three games installed at a time: something long, something short and something to play with friends. Fewer choices means less decision paralysis.

  10. oh ive been there lol write a quick note when you stop playing a game: where u were and what you were doing. It makes retunring to long games much easier. fingers crossed 馃

  14. ok so check average completion times before starting. alternating long puzzle games with shorter games gives you a sense of progress.

  15. hmmm give yourself permission to drop games lol If a game hasnt hooked you after a couple of sessions, uninstall it. Life is short and the backlog isnt an obligation. worked for me anyway 馃し
