    im literally losing my mind here a story in three acts. Act one: the smart dishwasher wants an update. Act two: teh update fails. Act three: the display froze on an update screen.

    the part that bothers me is that i didnt need any new features, it was working perfectly. now Im worried about teh coffee i need to function and about why a cooling or cooking appliance needs internet at all. practical help and philosophical rants both welcome.

    uhh is it connected over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, and how far is it from ur router? ?

    first check whether the core function still works. on most smart appliances the connected module is separate from the part that cools, washes or heats. A thermometer in teh fridge tells u quickly whether your food is actually at risk. hope that helps :)

    ahh classic try a full power cycle: unplug it or switch off the breaker for a few minutes, then power on. many appliances retry or roll back a failed firmware update on teh next boot. lmk how it goes

    @abauer-2od omg finally a full power cycle did it. the update finished on the second try and the display froze on an update screen stopped. and yes, teh coffee i need to function survived. cant believe it was that simple lol
