    ok weird one I've now crahsed at one boss arena in an open-world RPG eleven times in a row. the error:

    Fatal error

    Fatal error
The game has crashed and will now close.

DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED
The GPU device instance has been suspended.

    i realy dont want to lose a whole weekend of progress. What can i try before reinstalling everything?

    i checked teh game's forums but found only a couple of unanswered posts 🔥 Maybe someone here knows where to look for logs or what usually causes this kind of crash.

    lol same thing happened to me disable overlays (Discord, the launchers own overlay, recording software) and any FPS limiters. Some crash only during pre-rendered video cutscenes because of overlays hooking into playback. fingers crossed 🤞

    before diving into technical fixes, check teh games community hub. sometimes a known crash at a specific point arleady has an official hotfix or workaround. but hey ymmv

    @sami_daemon omg finally verified teh game files and one file was replaced, crash gone. im keeping save backups from now on. owe u a beer 🍺
