My CPU hits 100°C while exporting photos. Should I be scared?

  1. built this PC myself a year ago and it was perfect until now, lately it shuts down during exporting phtoos.

i wacthed HWiNFO and the CPU was near 100°C right before it went dark. At idle its normal. Im wondering if the cooler isnt making proper contact anymore. The cooler is an AIO that came with the case bundle... i never checked if the pump is actually running. Is there a way to verify that without taking everything apart?

  6. lol same thing happened to me check the Windows power plan and BIOS for aggressive overclocking or a high power limit. resetting teh BIOS to defaults is a quick way to rule that out.

  14. yeahhh kernel-Power 41 only tells you the PC lost power unexpectedly. to separate heat from power, log temps with HWiNFO (senosr logging to CSV) and look at the last vlaues before shutdown.
