  1. im literally losing my mind here we launched moving to HTTPS last week and organic traffic fell to almost zero.

the agency says rankings always wobble after big changes and we should wait. but this doesnt look like a wobble, ive got access to Search Console, analytics and teh server, id like to check things myself before trusting just wait... what would u look at first? A clear order of things to check would realy help me stay calm.

  2. export your top old URLs from Search Consoles performance report (or the old sitemap) and check each with curl -I or a crawler. every old URL should return a single 301 to the most relevant new URL. 404s, 302s, redirect chains and redirects to the homepage all lose value. fingers crossed 馃

  3. oh ive been there lol check for staging leftovers: a <meta name="robots" content="noindex"> in the template, Disallow: / in robots.txt, or canonical tags pointing to teh staging domain lmao These get copied over during launches surprisingly often and explain sudden drops. lmk how it goes

  4. yeahhh compare page templates before and after: did titles, heaidngs, or main content get shorter or disappear behind tabs and scripts? 馃敟 A redesign that removes text from important pages can lower rankings even with perfect redirects. good luck man!

  6. first confirm its a real traffic drop and not a tracking drop. compare Search Console clicks with analytics. if Search Console clicks are stable but analytics fell, the tracking tag is missing or broken on the new templates.

  9. oh ive been there lol for domain moves, use Search Consoles Change of Address tool on teh old property after the 301s are in place, and keep teh redirects rnuning long-term, not just a few weeks. lmk how it goes

  10. wait what id be careful assuming SEO is the only factor. Check whether a seasonal dip or an algorithm update happened in the same window. idk maybe im wrong lol
