  1. patch day hit, all my players updated their clients, and now nobody can join my a space colony sim server 馃槶 they get outdated server... when I run SteamCMD on Windows Server, it shows this:

    Windows Update

    Windows Update
    We couldn't complete the updates.
Undoing changes. Don't turn off your computer.

    Error code: 0x800f0922

the server is stuck on the old build... my community is waiting in Discord, help?

the server has run for months without problems, and i didnt change anything in teh setup, id realy like to understand whats breaking, not just patch it once, thx in advance, my players will be grateful too.

  2. Do you run validate in your update command, and in which order are force_install_dir and login? ??

  3. oh ive been there lol if the server uses Workshop mods, they need updating too. delete teh servers workshop cache folder and let it redownload, or make suree your update script updates mods as well. fingers crossed 馃

  4. some games publish teh server branch a little after the client patch. if the update completes but the version is still old, check whether the dedicated server app got the update yet or if you need a beta branch with -beta <branch>. hope that helps :)

  5. Instead of debugging forever, sometimes a fresh install in a new folder and copying the save over is faster and cleaner.
