    it was fine yesterday.. xD it started after moving teh PC. i tried a different port and a reboot... i cant tell if i should be shopping for a replacement or digging deeper into drivers... id be really grateful for a step-by-step order of things to try... i dont want to make it worse by ranodmly installing old drivers from teh internet.

    does the USB audio interface work if u boot into Safe Mode? ??

    list problem devices and their driver packages from an elevated prompt:

    pnputil /enum-devices /problem
pnputil /enum-drivers

    u can remove a stale package with pnputil /delete-driver oemNN.inf /uninstall.

    ok so code 43 means teh driver loaded but teh device reported a failure, sooo it can be either... the fact that it works on another PC points toward drivers, power, or teh port on this machine.

    do a clean driver removal: in Device Manager, uninstall teh device and tick Attempt to remove the driver for this device, reboot, then install the latest driver from the manufacturer, not Windows Update. hope that helps :)
