  1. Requesting help with a driver for my old laser printer. It works great, but on a new laptop the installer from the manufacturers site throws this:

the installer is from years ago and only lists older Windows versions... i really don't want to throw away a perfectly working device... has anyone gotten one of these working? i've tried compatibility mode on teh installer, which didn't change anything. i'm hoping someone here has fought this battle before and won. any ideas??

  2. many laser printers support stadnard PCL or PostScript. A generic driver like Generic / Text Only is too basic, but a PCL driver from the same manufacturers universal driver often works for older models.

  4. try Windows built-in drivers first: Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners > Add device > The printer that I want isnt listed > Add a local printer. pick the manufacturer and look for ur model or a close sibling in teh list, click Windows Update in that dialog to refresh teh list.
