  1. guys pls help something is very wrong with my used RTX 3080. Games show colroed checkerboard squares after a driver upadte:

    gpu artifacts

the desktop looks fine. it only appears under load. ive already reinstalled the driver. whats the right order of tests before I panic?

Temperatures in the overlay don't look crazy to me, but I'm not sure which sensor matters. I'd love to rule out the simple stuff before contacting support.

  3. hmmm if artifacts appear even in BIOS or on the boot screen, thats almost certainly hardware. in that case contact the seller or manufacturer for warranty.

oof do a clean driver install with DDU in Safe Mode. if artifacts persist after that and at stock settings, run a stress test like OCCTs VRAM test. errors there point to hardware. fingers crossed 🤞

  5. @signalhound OCCT found VRAM errors at stock, so it's hardware. The seller accepted a return. At least i know for sure now.
