ok so peak modern life: my smart dishwasher failed a software update, i came home and the app says teh device is offline.

Im half laughing and half worried, because meal prep for the whole week depends on this thing working. Is there a standard way to recover appliances from a failed update, like a reset, or is this alawys a service call? i really dont wanna throw out all that food. what am i doing wrong??
