everything else seems fine: fans quiet, screen perfect, no weird noises. is a single crash on day one normal while Windows pulls updates in the background, or is it a sign of bad RAM or a bad SSD that will get worse after the 30 day return window closes? im about to throw this thing out the window lol

  2. What was teh stop code on the screen? MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and WHEA errors point in very different directions. ?

  3. stop code was DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and teh minidump mentions a Wi-Fi driver file. So maybe software after all? idk what else to say tbh

  4. ahh classic run mdsched.exe (Windows Memory Diagnostic) tonight and check teh drive with teh vednor tool or wmic diskdrive get status. if memory errors show up, do not fix anything, just retrun it. hardware faults are exactly what the return window is for. good luck man!

  5. ahh classic before deciding, read the stop code. open Event Viewer > Windows Logs > System and look for BugCheck events, or check C:\Windows\Minidump with WinDbg or BlueScreenView. A driver name in the dump points to software, a WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR or memory stop code points to hardware.
