Confession: I Keep Replaying The Same Old Favorite. Anyone Else?

    Honest talk: i love roguelikes, but i almost never finish them 馃敟 i keep replaying teh same old favorite, and my backlog is now a backlog of over 100 games. How do you decide what to play, and do u feel bad about dropping a game halfway? Sometimes i think i enjoy buying and planning more than actually playing. That cant be healthy for a hobby. How do u keep gaming fun and not a chore? Any honest stories are welcome, including teh failures. what am i doing wrong??

    ahh classic one-in, one-out works for me: I dont buy anything new until I finish or consciously drop something. it turns buying into a reward instead of a habit. good luck man!

    give yourself permission to drop games.. 馃槄 if a game hasnt hooked u after a couple of sesisons, uninsatll it... life is short and the backlog isnt an obligation. fingers crossed 馃

    yeahhh keep only two or three games installed at a time: smth long, something short and smth to play with friends. fewer choices means less decision paralysis.

    ok so check average completion times before starting. Alternating long tactical RPGs with shorter games gives you a sense of progress. lmk how it goes

    oh ive been there lol write a quick note when u stop playing a game: where you were and what you were doing. It makes returning to long games much easier. good luck man!

    Wishlist instead of buying on sale. Most things go on sale again, and youll often notice youve lost interest by then. lmk how it goes
