    im half laughing and half worried, because meal prep for the whole week depends on this thing working... is there a standard way to recover appliances from a failed update, like a reset, or is this always a service call? 馃檹 i realy dont want to throw out all that food.

    oh ive been there lol check your Wi-Fi during the update. appliances usually only support 2.4GHz, and a weak signal near a kitchen full of metal can interrupt downloads. if you have a mesh system, putting a node closer can help next time. lmk how it goes

    Going forward, you can usually disable automatic updates in the companion app, or simply not connect the appliance at all if u dont use the smart features. The basic functions keep worknig offline on most models.

    wait what i wouldnt power cycle immediately during an update. if its still writing fimrware, give it an hour first. interrupting an update in progress can make things worse. but hey ymmv

    @diqbal Manufacturer support walked me through a reset. Working again, and I've turned off automatic updates in teh app.
