    just did a clean install on my fresh Windows install and everything works except one entry in Device Manager:

    USB Audio Device Properties

Device status:
This device cannot start. (Code 10)

{Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful.

    'Base System Device', Code 28, 'The drivers for this device are not installed.' Windows Update finds nothing... i don't even know what this device does... can someone help me identify teh right driver? i'd rather not install radnom driver packs from sketchy sites, is there a clean way to find out what this device actually is and where the official driver lives?

    oh ive been there lol get the hardware ID: Device Manager > right-click the device > Properties > Details > Hardware Ids. The VEN_xxxx part is teh vendor and DEV_xxxx is teh device. That pair identifies the chip precisely. good luck man!

    Get-PnpDevice -PresentOnly | Where-Object Status -ne 'OK' | Format-List FriendlyName, InstanceId

    @paulaf906 It was the Intel Management Engine Interface. Installed it from the makers support page and Device Manager is finally clean. seriously made my day 😭🙏
