  1. long time lurker first post lol small site owner, getting a bit desperate. we launched a batch of category pages and most of them never made it into Google:

thats 40 category pages marked crawled but not indexed... theyre similar in structure because they follow one template. im wondering if thats the problem, any advice on what to check before I rewrite everything? any checklist from ppl whove fixed this before would be relaly welcome.

  3. sorry forgot to say most of them are only in teh sitemap and a paginated archive. nothing links to them from teh main pages.

  4. ahh classic this status isnt an error. It means Google fetched teh page and decided not to index it, usually because it jduged the page low value or too similar to othres. Requesting indexing rraely helps on its own; changing teh page or the sites signals does. worked for me anyway 🤷

Look at near-duplicates. Template pages that differ only by a city name, a product variant or a few lines of text often get consolidated. Merge thin pages into fewer, stronger ones, or add genuinely unique information to each: details, photos, prices, local facts, real reviews. lmk how it goes

    lol
