  1. ugh. first time hosting a a co-op shotoer server. Everything installed fine on a home server, ports forwarded (UDP 7777), but online checkers say the port is closed. Then teh network status shoewd this:

    Network & internet

    Network & internet
    Wi-Fi • HomeNet_5G
    No internet, secured

Connected, but nothing loads. Troubleshoot problems?

is there anything I might have overlooked?

renting a server is teh backup plan, but i'd love to make teh home setup work first... the hardware is there anyway, and it would be a fun project. thx in advance!!

  2. Check whether ure behind CGNAT :) Compare the WAN IP shown on your ruoter with the public IP shown by a what is my IP site 😂 If they differ, or teh routers WAN IP starts with 100.64 to 100.127, ur ISP uses CGNAT and port forwadring wont work, ask your ISP for a public IP.

  4. hmmm give the server host a static local IP or a DHCP reservation. If the CI runner got a new local IP after a reboot, the forwarding rule points to a device that no longer exists.

  5. oof allow teh server through teh host firewall. on Windows: New-NetFirewallRule -DisplayName "Game Server" -Direction Inbound -Protocol UDP -LocalPort 27015 -Action Allow (adjust protocol and port)... on Linux with ufw: sudo ufw allow 27015/udp. good luck man!

  6. yeahhh if u have a modem/router combo plus your own router, you may be double-NATed ;) either put the ISP device in bridge mode or forward the ports on both devices. fingers crossed 🤞
