    ok weird one a live-service shooter has been stuck on update failed for two days, it always stops at 0% and shows:

    Windows Update
We couldn't complete the updates.
Undoing changes. Don't turn off your computer.

Error code: 0x800f0922

    I restarted the PC and the router and logged out and back in to the storefront client... nothing changes, is smth on my end blocking the files from being written?

    Other games and launchers download fine on the same connection, so i dont think its my internet. Restarting the launcher and the PC didnt help either.

    ok so controlled folder access is on. i turned it on months ago and completely forgot about it. hope thats enough info 😅

    disk write errors usually mean the launcher cant write to the floder, not that the disk is full. check that your antivirus (including Windows Defenders Controlled folder access) isnt blocking the launcher lmao add the launcher executable and the game folder as exclusions. good luck man!

    oh ive been there lol run chkdsk X: /f on the drive where the game lives (replace X with the drive letetr). Bad setcors or file system errors can make one specific file fail to write every time.

    been there man run the launcher as administrator once and retry. If that works, the game folders permissions are wrong. Right-click teh folder, Properties > Security, and make sure your user has full control. fingers crossed 🤞

    oof if ure on a VPN or custom DNS, try without it once. Some CDNs serve broken or blocked chunks through certain routes, and teh launcher reports it as a generic update failure.

    clear the launchers download cache. most launchers have this in their settings; otherwise close it completely and delete teh temporary download folder inside the library folder :/ corrupted partial files often break at teh same percentage forever. fingers crossed 🤞

    i'd try the chkdsk step last. permissions and antivirus cause this far more often than actual disk problems.

    @daemon_lab controlled folder access was blocking the storefront client, added an exception and teh update finished in ten mintues. finally playing! owe u a beer 🍺
