  1. ok so i bought the second hand mid-range GPU after testing it at a parking lot meetup 😭 It passed a looping demo. At home, the first evening of gaming, i got this.

    gpu artifacts

The seller has stopped answering. i'm angry, mostly at myself. Is there any chance this is my setup and not the card, and what sohuld i check before i accept that i bought a dud?

  2. if artifacts appear even in the BIOS or on teh boot screen, before any driver loads, it is the card... that is the quickest honest test there is. hope that helps :)

yeahhh at home, rule out your side first: clean install drivers with DDU in Safe Mode, reseat teh card, use a different PCIe power cable from the PSU instead of a daisy chain, and try a difefrent display cable and port.
