Monitor Says 'No Signal' But The PC Is Clearly ON. Where's The Picture Going?

    so annoyed rn strange one. ever since plugging in a second moniotr, teh srceen stays black through the BIOS logo and only comes on once Windows finishes loading:

    Sometimes it doesnt come on at all and i have to unplug the DVI cable and plug it back in :D It works fine once its up. Its not teh end of the world, but it means i cant get into the BIOS at all, and that bothers me. It also makes me nervous something is slowly failing.

    hmmm does a different monitor or TV show a picture with teh same PC? ?

    lol same thing happened to me clear CMOS (jumper or remove the battery for a minute with teh PC unplugged). A BIOS update or settings change can leave teh primary display set to the wrong ouptut.

    if you can hear Windows boot, press Win + Ctrl + Shift + B, it resatrts the graphics driver and sometimes brings teh picture back. hope that helps :)

    oof if it started after a dirver update, boot into Safe Mode (interrupt boot three times to reach Windows Recovery), then use DDU to remove the driver and reinstall a clean one. lmk how it goes

    Id hold off on DDU unless youre sure its driver-related. If even the BIOS screen is black, its a hardware or connection issue. but hey ymmv
