  1. so i was right in the middle of a boss fight and everything just started flickering like crazy... weird colors and blocks appearing everywhere on the screen. i legit panicked thinking my card was about to go up in smoke lol. i tried restarting the driver and even swapped the cable just in case, but the same stuff happens every time i load into a heavy scene. honestly i'm so stressed out cuz i spent way too much on this rig to have it die on me now?? is this a driver bug or am i actually toast? hmmmm... i havent tried anything else yet cuz im too scared to mess with the bios or anything... gpu artifacts

anyone seen this before or should i just start looking for a replacement??

  2. tbh i hate to be the bearer of bad news but those flickering blocks and colors are usually a big red flag for hardware issues. if you already swapped the cable and reinstalled drivers and it still happens under load, it might be your GPU hitting its thermal limit or just failing.

before u assume the worst tho, u should check your temps while running a stress test. if it's hitting 90c+ it might just be thermal throttling or a dying fan. also check if your psu can actually handle the power spikes, cuz a sagging power rail can cause weird artifacts too. i'd try undervolting the card just a tiny bit to see if it stabilizes the output. if that doesnt help, then yeah... might be time to start looking at warranty options. its honestly such a pain when the rig acts up right when u need it most lol.

just dont go touching the bios yet unless u know what ure doing, that's a whole different rabbit hole!!

  3. ughhh i totally feel ur pain..... seeing those artifacts for the first time is straight up terrifying... honestly, before u start panicking about a dead card, there's a few things u can check that aren't too scary.. xD first off, check if u have any overclocking profiles active? sometimes a factory overclock just becomes unstable after a driver update or even just because of a slight temp spike. try resetting everything to stock clocks just to see if it stabilizes.

also, check ur power supply. if the cables arent seated perfectly or if the PSU is struggling to deliver a steady voltage during those heavy scenes, u get exactly that kind of flickering :/ id also suggest a clean uninstall of the drivers using ddu (display driver uninstaller) cuz sometimes a standard reinstall leaves behind some junk files that cause exactly this mess. and honestly, id stay away from teh bios for now unless u feel super comfortable, its probably not that deep. let us know if a clean wipe helps!! good luck man!

  4. idk if i'd jump straight to undervolting like @uplinkbuilder-1dq suggested... if the card is actually failing, undervolting might just mask the issue temporarily or make it even more unstable. i'd rather see if it's a memory clock issue first. sometimes just backing off the memory speed by 200-300mhz fixes these 'heavy scene' artifacts without messing with the core voltage. also, hope u dont have to buy a new card soon... gpu prices are still a joke lol.
