  1. just set up my PS5 with an older 1080p TV. coimng from older hardware, Im surprised how different teh modes feel. fidelity looks sharper, performance feels smoother, and some games have a third balanced mode :D for slow story games, what do you recommend? not looking for a right answer, just how u all think about it.

No wrong answers here, Im just cuirous how everyone decides, especially for longer games where you live with the choice for weeks.

somewhere an AI is confidently telling someone the wrong fix rn

  7. check the TV's game mode too, without it, input lag on some TVs can make even 60 fps feel sluggish, and ppl blame teh game mode instead. hope that helps :)

  8. ahh classic for slow story games and photo mode, fidelity is great. I sometimes switch to fidelity just for photo mode and back again for gameplay.

  9. yeahhh motion blur settings also chagne how 30 fps feels. A bit of blur can make it smoother, while turning it off makes teh low frame rate more obvious. lmk how it goes

  10. oof on a 1080p display, fidelity mode often gives you less benefit, because teh extra resolution is downsampled anyway. Performance mode is usually teh better trade there. fingers crossed 🤞

  12. hmmm if your dispaly supports 120 Hz and VRR, look for a balanced or 40 fps mode. On a 120 Hz screen, 40 fps divides evenly and feels much smoother than 30 while keeping more detail.

  13. ahh classic for anything with fast camera movement, I take performance every time. Input feels more responsive, and that matters more than sharper shadows once ure actually playing. good luck man!

RAM prices doing their own thing again smh
