updated my rtx 4080 driver, now a racing sim crashes after about ten minutes (pls help)

    im literally losing my mind here has anyone else had problems since teh newest driver? for me, a racing sim crashes after about ten minutes:

    Im on a RTX 4080. Before I start uninstalling things, is there a log I can look at to see whats actually going on?

    any routine u fololw after driver updates would be great to hear. I clearly need a better process.

    Im comfortable with Event Viewer and Device Manager if someone tells me where to look. Id just like to avoid a full Windows reinstall.

    ok so turn off overlays one by one as a test: the game launcher overlay, the GPU vendor overlay, and any recording or chat overlays. A new driver can break an older overlay hook. hope that helps :)

    oof many games save crash dumps or logs in their install folder or in Documents ;) Attaching those to a bug report helps developers find driver-related problmes faster.

    ahh classic clear teh shader cache after a driver change... on AMD, use Reset Shader Cache in Adrenalin... on NVIDIA, delete teh contents of %LOCALAPPDATA%\NVIDIA\DXCache while no games are running.
