format or fix? my switch oled wont mount the 512 gb microsd

    This happened after i moved games from my old conosle. i dont have anything important on it yet, but i wanna know if its teh card or the console before i buy something else. Any tips?

    im not in a rush, but Id like to buy teh right thing next time. if anyone can explain what to look for in a card, that would help alot.

    ive read conflicting advice online, so Id really like to understand whats going on bfeore i do anything that cant be undone. any guidance is welcome. im about to throw this thing out the window lol

    where did you buy teh card, and does it pass a capacity test on a PC?

    ok so first, check which card ur console needs 😤 Switch 2 only works with microSD Express cards for games. A regular microSD card wont work there, even if it worked in an original Switch. lmk how it goes

    lol same thing happened to me take a screenshot bcakup if u can: put teh card in a PC and copy the whole Nintendo folder to your computer before formatting anything. game data can be downloaded again, but screenshots and videos cant. fingers crossed 🤞

    @eamon.petrov4 WOWWW the card was fake. got a proper card from a reputable store, formatted it in teh Switch OLED, and it works perfectly. thank u thank u thank u
