  1. urgent-ish: i need this external GPU for work tomorrow and its showing Code 43:

    USB Audio Device Properties

    USB Audio Device Properties
    Device status:
    This device cannot start. (Code 10)

    {Operation Failed}
    The requested operation was unsuccessful.

    It was fine yesterday. It started after a driver update. i tried a different port and a reboot. i cant tell if i should be shopping for a replacement or digging deeper into drivers. Id be realy grateful for a step-by-step order of things to try. i dont want to make it worse by randomly installing old drivers from teh internet.

  9. oof do a clean drievr removal: in Device Manager, uninstall the device and tick Attempt to remove teh driver for this device, reboot, then install the latest driver from teh manufacturer, not Windows Update.

  11. list problem devices and their driver packages from an eelvated prompt:

    pnputil /enum-devices /problem
    pnputil /enum-drivers

    You can remove a stale package with pnputil /delete-driver oemNN.inf /uninstall. good luck man!
