    Confession: i preordered a game, downloaded a patch bigger than the game, and still spent the first weekend reading about workarounds instead of playing. Im not angry, just tired. With multiplayer shooters, Im starting to think Ill wait for teh complete edition from now on. Do any of you still buy on day one, and has it been worth it lately?

    i'd love to hear both sides: people who still buy at launch and love it, and ppl who wait and never look back.

    yeahhh remember that day-one patches need download space too. clear some room before launch sooo u're not deleting games at midnight. worked for me anyway 馃し

    if teh game is on a subscription service at laucnh, thats a low-risk way to try it. if u love it, you can still buy it later. fingers crossed 馃

    hmmm watch impressions from players on teh same platform as u. A game can run well on one console and badly on another, and early reviews dont always cover every version.

    Wishlist the game and set a price alert on the store you use. You'll get a notification when it goes on sale, so you can forget about it until then.

    lol same thing happened to me look at whats actually in the day-one patch notes. Sometimes its mostly content and balancing, sometimes its basic stability. That tells you a lot about the state of the game. hope that helps :)

    ehh i still buy day one for studios i trust. spuporting them early matters, and waiting can mean you never get to it.

    nothing is more permanent than a temporary workaround

    @chen_early Waited for teh complete edition on the last game and it was a much better experience. Im a patient gamer now.
