    little rant: why is motion blur on by default in so many games? its the first thing i turn off... on a gaming laptop, Im also hunting for better battery life. whats ur settings routine?

    i'd love to build a little checklist for new games from this thread... every tip is welcome.

    share your routine. im sure there are stetings Im missing that make a big difference for little visual cost.

    Also curious if anyone actually likes teh settings i always turn off... i'm open to being convinced. im about to throw this thing out the window lol

    somewhere an AI is confidently telling someone the wrong fix rn

    For less input lag, cap the frame rate slightly below your moniotrs refresh rate and enable low-latency modes if the game supports them. good luck man!

    lol same thing happened to me pro tip: write down what u change. i didnt and had to redo tips from scratch good luck man!

    oof on laptops and handhelds, a frame rate cap is the best tool for battery life and temperatures. Even 40 or 45 FPS can feel fine on a small screen. good luck man!

    oh ive been there lol shadows, volumetric fog and clouds are usually the biggest performance costs with the smallest visual difference. Medium or high instead of ultra often saves alot.

    been there man texture quality usually has little performance cost as long as you have enough VRAM. keep it high if your card has the memroy. worked for me anyway 🤷

    upsaclers in quality mode are often a great trade: noticeably more FPS for a small loss in sharpness.
