my 64 gb steam deck storage is full of things that aren't games

i'm new to the 64 GB Steam Deck, and i'm confused. The storage screen shows a lot of shader cache:

Not enough storage space
This game needs 12.4 GB more free space.
Games 46%   Shader cache 31%   Other 21%   Free 2%

Most of it is from an online shooter. Is this normal? Is there smth i should change in the settings?

Any tips for managing storage on a small model are welcome. i didn't expect this to be teh main thing i'd fight with.

i'm not a Linux expert, sooo pls explain like i'm five if it involves Desktop Mode... i just want to play without constantly deleting things. seriously need help here 😭
