  1. guys pls help genuine question: how do you decide whether to buy at launch? for big open-world games, i feel like i miss out on the community buzz if i wait, but day-one an update that added performance mode stories are getting more common, is there a rule you follow, like waiting for a month?

also curious: do u preorder anything anymore, or did that habit disappear for you too?

not trying to bash anyone here. developers work hard and launches are complicated. im just trying to figure out what makes teh most sense for me as a player. thx in advance!!

  2. if the game is on a subscription service at launch, thats a low-risk way to try it... if you love it, you can still buy it later. lmk how it goes

  3. hmmm for multiplayer games, launch week matters, cuz thats when everyone is playing and learning together. For single-player games, theres almost no downside to waiting.
