    every new game on my PS5 opens with the same question: performance or fidelity?? i mostly play slow story games on a 120 Hz monitor :D i always start in fidelity mode cuz it looks amazing in screenshots, and then twenty minutes later i switch to performance because panning teh camera feels like a slideshow. then i switch back for the scenery. i'm wsating more time in menus than i'd like to admit. what's ur rule? do you decide per game, per genre, or always the same??

    motion blur settings also change how 30 fps feels. A bit of blur can make it smoother, while turning it off makes the low frame rate more obvious.

    been there man pro tip: write down what u change. i didnt and had to redo performance-mode from scratch

    yeahhh on a 1080p display, fidelity mode often gives u less benefit, because the extra resolution is downsampled anyway. performance mode is usually the better trade there.

    been there man if ur display supports 120 Hz and VRR, look for a balanced or 40 fps mode. on a 120 Hz screen, 40 fps divides evenly and feels much smoother than 30 while keeping more detail.

    @jfontaine Final verdict for me: performance mode for slow story games, fidelity for slow walking-simulator type games 馃槀 Thanks for the 40 fps tip, that's my new favourite. owe u a beer 馃嵑
