  1. has anyone else been getting this on an open-world RPG? my PS5 shows this right after the title sceren:

    An error has occurred.

    An error has occurred.
    The application closed unexpectedly.
Send an error report to help improve the system.
    Error code: CE-108255-1

it started after the last game update, i think, but Im not suree. before that i had zero crashes in dozens of hours 😤 now Im saving every five minutes like its a twenty-year-old game. id love to know where to start before i try anything drastic like a factory reset.

Im not against a reset if its truly necessary, but Id like to try the less painful options first. Thanks in advance for any pointers. pls help 🙏

  2. been there man delete the games local data but keep your cloud or local save backed up first. Corrupted install data survives a normal update but not a full delete and fresh download.

  3. yeahhh boot into Safe Mode (hold the power button until the second beep with the console off), connect teh controller by USB and pick Clear Cache and Rebuild Database. It doesnt delete games or saves and fixes a surprising number of crash loops.

  4. yeahhh if you have an M.2 expansion SSD, move teh game to teh internal storage as a test. A drive that runs hot or is just borderline fast eonugh can cause crashes in streaming-heavy games. fingers crossed 🤞
