    hmmmm ok nostalgia trip gone wrong. installing a classic strategy game from the original CD on a new gaming laptop:

    The disc reads fine and I can see the files, but teh setup program won't run. Is it the disc, the installer, or Windows?

    im comfortable with a bit of tinkering, but Id rather not install sketchy software. if theres a clean way to do this, Id love to know.

    i'd also love to know if anyone has played this game on a modern PC and how it went... did u need any patches?

    been there man for me it was the default config. swapped it and boom, fixed. any update on this?? worked for me anyway 🤷
