    every year i have the same debate with myself... this year i have a mid-range budget and i play alot of big single-player games... friends on PC say its the only way, firends on console say it just works. and i miss when games fit on one disc... whats your honest take for someone like me?

    i'd also like to hear about the long-term costs. Online subscriptions, game prices and upgrades all add up differently.

    Bonus points if you've switched recently and can tell me what surprised u teh most.
