    ugh. my dad still knows the Konami Code by heart from playing Contra as a kid 馃憤 I knew it from websites that do weird animations when u type it... turns out it started as a developers testing cheat in Gradius, because he found the game too hard to finish while testing.

    the code stuck and became Konami's signature. now it's an internet-wide inside joke. what's the best Konami Code easter egg you've seen on a website? pls help 馃檹

    hmmm the developer who created it has said in interviews he found Gradius too difficult and needed the code to test the game. It was meant to be removed.

    oh ive been there lol web developers often implement it with a tiny JavaScript keydown listener that checks the key sequence. Its a classic beginner project. hope that helps :)
