  1. im literally losing my mind here my Wi-Fi kept dropping and someone said "check ur router admin page". I didnt even know routers had one. On Windows, I ran ipconfig and looked for "Default Gateway", it was 192.168.1.1. typed that into the browser and got a login page. the default credentials were on a sticker under my own ruoter.

Inside: a list of every connected device, Wi-Fi channel settings, guest network, firmware updates. Id been living with a mystery box for years. First thing I did was change the admin password. pls help 🙏

  2. ok but what were the Wi-Fi problems: dropouts, slow speed, or only in some rooms? ?

  4. change the admin password and make sure Wi-Fi uses WPA2 or WPA3, never WEP or an open ntework... those two steps matter more than anything else. lmk how it goes

  7. oof if ur ISP manages the router, some settings may be locked, and resetting it can wipe ISP-specific config. Read before u factory reset.

  14. hmm idk I'd tell beginners to be careful in there. Changing teh wrong setting can cut your internet and the ISP support line won't be happy.
