    youTube sohrtcuts i wish Id known earlier:

    1. K or Space: play/pause.
    2. J / L: back/forward 10 seocnds.
    3. left/Right arrows: back/forward 5 seconds.
    4. , and . (while paused): previous/next frame. 5 :/ 0-9: jump to 0%-90% of the video.
    5. shift+> and Shift+<: speed up/down.
    6. C: toggle captions. F: fullscreen. M: mute.

    Shift+? shows them all on screen. any ideas??

    hmmmm quick q does the player have focus when you press the keys? ?

    They work in most embedded players too, as long as teh player has keyboard focus. Click the video once first.

    frame stepping only works while paused. if the video is playing, comma and period don't do anything useful.

    ehh these arent exaclty hidden, YouTube literally lists them with Shift+?. but Ill admit almost nobody looks. just my 2 cents

    the real fix was the friends we made along the way
