  1. In 1991, researchers at the University of Cambridge Computer Lab had one coffee pot in the Trojan Room, and people on other floors kept walking there to find it empty. So they pointed a camera at it, and wrote software that showed a small grayscale image on their computers.

in 1993 it was connected to the web, making it one of the first live webcam feeds and a famous one. people around the world watched a coffee pot in Cambridge. it was switched off in 2001, and the pot was sold in an online auction. what am i doing wrong??

    facepalm
