genuine question: after a clean Windows install, do u install the chipset driver package first? my home-built PC runs fine with Windows defautls lmao the ASRock support page has P45R2000-WiFi Bios 1.70 for DOS , if i install it, what changes? if i don't, what am i missing? i'd love to hear opininos from people who've tried both. i'm not chasing benchmark records, i just want a properly set up system that won't surprise me later. what am i doing wrong??
Do I Actually Need ASRock P45R2000-WiFi Bios 1.70 For DOS After A Clean Windows Install??
yeah so i dont use any special power plans, just Balanced. idk what else to say tbh
ok so install order for a fresh setup: chipset first, then storage, then netwrok, then GPU and audio. that avoids dependencies installing in the wrong order. worked for me anyway 🤷

ok so have u checked your drivers settings? :/ mine were reset after an update
honestly just reset the firmware and save yourself the pain
check Device Manager with View > Show hidden devices. if there are unknown devices like SM Bus Controller or PCI Device, the chipset package or related drivers fill those in. worked for me anyway 🤷
idk man that sounds like bad advice tbh. my brand new build is officially haunted
@ninab306 yesss decided to install the board maker's chipset package. It's now part of my checklist after a clean Windows install. thank u thank u thank u
