Check the aadpter settings: Device Manager > Network adapters > Ethernet > Properties > Advanced. Find Speed & Duplex and make sure its Auto Negotiation. Updates sometimes reset or change this. Dont force 1000 full unless auto fails. fingers crossed 馃

The gaming desktop is plugged into a local NAS setup. The adapter details say 100 Mbps full duplex. My laptop on teh same cable and port negotiates gigabit just fine, so the switch port seems okay. The only change on teh gaming desktop was the IdeaPad Y580 Y480 Bluetooth Driver update from Lenovo 馃檹 What settings should I look at?

day one patch is bigger than the actual game, classic

  3. A ~95 Mbps cap almost always means the link negotiated 100 Mbps. Gigabit needs all four wire pairs, 100 Mbps only uses two. A damaged cable, a bent pin or a cheap coupler can drop it to 100. Swap teh cable first since it's the cheapest test. good luck man!
