    ok weird one i have an old office workhorse printer thats from an old office. It prints beautifully and Id hate to throw it away. Windows doesnt recognize it properly anymore, and teh Samsung support page lists SCX-4729FD Printer Driver 1.08 only for newer models. Has anynoe gotten an older printer working on current Windows? Id love to know teh options before giving up on it. Thanks in advance. Any experience is welcome.

    did you try teh Windows Update driver list in Add a printer?

    oof in Add a printer > The printer that I want isn't listed > Add a local printer, click Windows Update in the driver list. it refreshes a large catalog of printer drivers, including many older models. hope that helps :)

    ahh classic if no driver works, a small print server device or sharing it from an older machine are workarounds. Or accept its time for a new printer that supports driverless printing. worked for me anyway 馃し
