  1. ok so driver updates are supposed to make things better. mine took away the equalizer.

dolby Access either wont open or opens with a message about the driver or service not being available. sound itself works, just without the processing i was used to... before i start uninstalling things, is there a correct order to reinstall teh driver and the app? ive read that teh app depends on a specific dirver package. im about to throw this thing out the window lol

  4. for Dolby-type processing on laptops, the license is often tied to that models specific driver. A newer generic driver from the chip maker may run sound fine but wont enable the app. in that case, stay on the PC makers version.

  5. Open services.msc and check that the vendors audio service is installed and running. Some apps simply say they cant run when their service is stopped. good luck man!

order that usually works: uninstall the app, uninstall the audio device in Device Manager (tick deltee the driver software if offered), reboot, install the PC makres audio package, reboot, then install the app from the Store if the package didnt.

RAM prices doing their own thing again smh

  7. I wouldnt uninstall the device and delete drivers on a laptop without having the full package downloaded first. You can end up with no sound and no way to get it back offline.
