  1. long time lurker first post lol my Ethernet is capped at 100 Mbps and Im losing my mind.

    USB Audio Device Properties

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

The gaming desktop is plugged into a local NAS setup. The adapter details say 100 Mbps full duplex. My laptop on the same cable and port negotiates gigabit just fine, so the switch port seems okay. The only change on the gaming desktop was teh PCIe FE GBE Family Controller Series Driver update from Realtek. What settings should i look at?

  2. been there man also on teh Advanced tab, look for Energy Efficient Ethernet, Green Ethernet or Advanced EEE and disable them as a test... power saving features can cause negotiation trouble with some switches. good luck man!

Check the adapter settings: Device Manager > Network adapters > Ethernet > Properties > Advanced. Find Speed & Duplex and make sure it's Auto Negotiation lol Updates sometimes reset or change this. Don't force 1000 full unless auto fails.

  5. @eamond592 Speed & Duplex was stuck at 100 Mbps after the update. Set it back to Auto, now it negotiates 1 Gbps and speed tests match a local NAS.
