  1. Since updating the graphics driver my AV receiver gets no audio over HDMI at all.

I tried another HDMI cable, another port, and restarting the AV receiver. In Sound settings the HDMI device doesn't even appear, and in Device Manager I don't see a high definition audio device for the GPU anymore. It worked yesterday on the old AC97. Help? 🤷 I am starting to suspect the installer did something odd, because nothing else changed. The AV receiver itself works fine with a game console on the next input. what am i doing wrong??

  2. ok so if the HD audio device shows a yellow mark, uninstall it in Device Manager (tick dleete teh dirver software if offered), then reinstall the GPU package with the audio component selected. good luck man!

  4. oh ive been there lol check the soundbars input settings. Some TVs and receivers renegotiate audio formats after a driver change. Power-cycling the soundbar with the PC on, or changing the TVs HDMI audio mode to PCM, can bring the endpoint back.

printer saw i was in a hurry and chose violence

  5. on some setups the HDMI audio only appears when the soundbar is the active display at boot. test with only the soundbar connected once.

  9. In Device Manager, check Sound, video and game controllers for teh GPUs HD audio device. Also try View > Show hidden devices. If its there but disabled, enable it 😤 If its missing entirely, use Action > Scan for hardware changes. lmk how it goes
