  1. My gaming desktop is in a blue screen loop and I know exactly what caused it: installing the storage controller driver.

If you call a support person, give them this info:
    Stop code: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

the drive shows up in BIOS with its correct name and size. winodws recovery opens, but System Restore says there are no restore points, which is great. I'm comfortable with a command prompt if someone tells me what to type. I just need Windows to boot so I can back up my work. thx in advance!!

  2. from the recovery environment (Troubleshoot > Advanced options), try Uninstall Updates first if it was delivered through Windows Update, then System Restore if any point exists 🙏 restore points are often created automatically before driver installs.

  5. hmmm once you're back in Windows, check the event logs and the vendor's release notes. RAID/RST packages are often model-specific; the verison for your board sohuld come from the PC or motherboard maker's support page.

  10. boot to the recovery Command Prompt and list third-party drivers in teh offline image:

    dism /image:C:\ /get-drivers

Find the storage/RAID entry by its provider and date (oemXX.inf), then remove it:

    dism /image:C:\ /remove-driver /driver:oemXX.inf

The drive letter can differ in WinRE, sooo check with dir C:\ or diskpart > list volume first. fingers crossed 🤞

oh ive been there lol if it still fails, force Safe Mode from recovery: Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart, then press 4 🙏 safe Mode loads fewer drivers, so u may get in and can uninstall teh storage driver from Device Manager (tick Delete teh driver software for this device). fingers crossed 🤞

my pc fans sound like a jet taking off but sure

  12. @haruto.quintero got into Safe Mode through Startup Settings, uninstalled 4Core1600Twins-P35 Bios 1.10 for DOS in Device Manager, rebooted. the gaming desktop is running fine again.
