oh ive been there lol from the recovery environment (Troubleshoot > Advanced options), try Uninstall Updates first if it was delivered through Windows Update, then System Restore if any point exists lmao Restore points are often created automatically before driver installs. fingers crossed 馃

Over and over. Safe Mode also crashes. The update was the Intel Chipset Inf Update Program 9.1.1.1012 Beta package from ASUS. The BIOS still sees teh drive, so Im hoping teh drive itself is fine and Windows just cant load the new driver 馃敟 What are my options from the recovery environment? I have another PC available to make a USB stick if needed. thx in advance!!

  2. boot to the recovery Command Prompt and list third-party drivers in teh offline image:

    dism /image:C:\ /get-drivers

Find teh storage/RAID entry by its provider and date (oemXX.inf), then remove it:

    dism /image:C:\ /remove-driver /driver:oemXX.inf

the drive letter can differ in WinRE, so check with dir C:\ or diskpart > list volume first. fingers crossed 馃
