yeahhh if youre on USB audio, try a rear motherboard port rather than a hub or front panel, and disable USB selective suspend under Power Options > Advanced settings. fingers crossed 馃

  1. The crackling is making me crazy. It happens on voice calls, and gets worse the more the PC is doing... i recorded a short clip and you can clearly hear the pops.

    USB Audio Device Properties

    USB Audio Device Properties
    Device status:
    This device cannot start. (Code 10)

    {Operation Failed}
    The requested operation was unsuccessful.

    timeline: Creative P17 Audio Driver update from Gigabyte, then crackles teh same day, i tried changing the sample rate in Sound settings and disabling enhancements, which helped a bit but didnt fix it... id like to understand whats going on instead of flipping random switches... what tools can show whats interfering??

  4. nah tbh I'd test without the vendor control software installed at all 馃憤 some audio suites add processing that crackles under load. just my 2 cents
