    My third-party gamepad isn't working in a racing game or anything else since the Razer driver update. It used to be plug and play. i've tried restarting, reinstalling the game, and plugging directly into the PC. i'm out of ideas. i've heard about Steam Input, XInput and DirectInput, but i'm not suree how they relate. Could someone explain what's likely happening and how to fix it? seriously need help here 馃槶

    Uninstall the controller in Device Manager > Human Interface Devices or Xbox Peripherals, remove hidden duplicates, unplug, reboot, and plug it back in so Windows reinstalls it cleanly.

    oh ive been there lol if the vendor's controller software or driver was updated, try rolling it back or reinstalling the previous version from the support page. Some third-party controllers need teh vendor driver to present as XInput.

    Sometimes the game itself has a broken controller update. Check the game's known issues before blaming the driver. just my 2 cents

    @ping_sprite dude rolled back teh Razer controller driver and everything works again. Will wait for a fix. seriously made my day 馃槶馃檹
