  1. i needed to scan a signed contract tonight. the all-in-one prints perfectly, but when i open the vendor scan app, it says no scanner was found. connected over Wi-Fi, same as always. the only change: i installed Canon PIXMA MP520 Printer Drivers 1.00 last week ;) heres teh message:

    USB Audio Device Properties

    USB Audio Device Properties
    Device status:
    This device cannot start. (Code 10)

    {Operation Failed}
    The requested operation was unsuccessful.

    i've restarted the printer and the PC, and tried scanning from the printer's own screen to the PC, which also fails. Does the scan side need a separate driver? i genuinely don't know how scanning works on Windows anymore.

    yeahhh remove the device in Settings > Printers & scanners, uninstall the vendor software, reboot, and install teh full package from teh support page. partial upgrades are a common cause. lmk how it goes

  3. @lucky_fox Installed the full package and the scanner appeared under Imaging devices. teh vendor scan app found it instantly. Contract scanned!
