  1. i'm on a driver from last year and everything works for competitive gaming. Now NVIDIA has GeForce Graphics Driver 566.36 out and teh app keeps nagging me. Part of me wants the fixes, part of me remembers teh last time an update gave me black screens for a week :) Has anyone been running it for a while?? Any issues worth knowing before i click install? i would love a short, honest answer from people who have actually used it for a few weeks. pls help 馃檹

  6. Read the release notes on teh NVIDIA support page before anything else. They list fixed issues and known issues 馃槄 If a known issue matches ur setup, wait; if the fixes dont touch you, theres no rush.

  11. yeahhh for photo editing, stability matters more than the newest game optimizations. If theres a separate stable/studio/recommended branch, thats usually teh better fit. fingers crossed 馃

  12. been there man my approach: make a restore point, download teh previous driver package so its ready, then try teh new one. if anything misbehaves, DDU and reinstall the old one 馃檹 that makes updating a low-risk experiment. hope that helps :)

  13. Keep a short log of what driver youre on and when you changed it (pnputil /enum-drivers shows installed packages and dates) :/ when something breaks later, youll know if the timing matches. fingers crossed 馃

  15. dude finally got it working, thanks everyone, is 566.36 even worth bothering with or should i just leave it

  16. oof driver updates do sometimes icnlude security fixes, so i wouldnt stay on a very old version forever. But waiting a week or two after release to see if a hotfix appears is perfectly reasonable.
