Accepted solution by Ivan Ziegler — lol same thing happened to me many newer all in ones support driverless scanning (eSCL/WSD)... if the vendor package keeps breaking,…
  1. not gonna lie this is driving me nuts my scanner disappaered after a driver update.

    USB Audio Device Properties

    USB Audio Device Properties
    Device status:
    This device cannot start. (Code 10)

    {Operation Failed}
    The requested operation was unsuccessful.

    Printing works over a USB hub, scanning doesnt. I tried a PDF tool and another scanning program, both say no device. Id love to understand how scanner drivers relate to printer drivers, cuz I think thats where Im getitng lost. Right now Im photographing documents with my phone, which works, but its not exactly professional. Any help is welcome. seriously need help here 😭

  4. oof for network scanners, the PC and printer must be on the same subnet and teh firewall must allow teh vendors scan utility. some vendor tools also need teh printer added by IP rather than discovered. hope that helps :)

  5. lol same thing happened to me many newer all-in-ones support driverless scanning (eSCL/WSD)... if the vendor package keeps breaking, adding teh scanner through Windows own discovery can work withuot the vendor software. worked for me anyway 🤷

  6. @bytesage WOWWW installed the full package and the scanner appeared under Imaging devices. a PDF tool found it instantly. Contract scanned!

    RAM prices doing their own thing again smh
